Lauren Nicole’s Road From Icemageddon to Destiny

By Lauren Nicole

As a Native Texan, I’ll never forget the February day that changed everything.

Driving home in my little red Corvette, I watched layers of ice thicken across my windshield. At first, it felt like an ordinary winter day.

Little did I know, this moment would mark a divine intervention that would speak directly to my heart.

Windshields, Whispers, and Watershed Moments

Life often shifts in unexpected ways.

That winter day, as I navigated the icy streets, my focus was fixed on my windshield.

Then, I saw him—a runner, gliding effortlessly through the storm, clad in Spandex.

He’s got to be crazy, I thought. But as I watched him disappear down the road, I heard it—the audible voice of the Lord: “That’s going to be you in 2023. Get ready to run. I’m speeding up time. I’m giving you a platform and sending people to tell their testimony, and it will all be for My glory.”

Startled, I pulled over, my heart pounding. What did this mean? Was God asking me to literally run, or was this a metaphor for something greater? His words sent me into deep reflection, connecting this moment to whispers from my past—moments of struggle and miraculous encounters with Him.

Beyond Silence and Struggle

On the surface, my life seemed perfect—luxury, success, and everything anyone could want.

But beneath it all, I wrestled with a persistent longing for something deeper.

I’ve known struggle since birth. I came into this world with the umbilical cord wrapped around my neck three times, silencing my voice before I could cry. Severe asthma defined much of my childhood, forcing me to fight for every breath. My parents fought just as hard, covering me in prayer and trusting God for miracles.

When Angels Lean In

At twelve, during a terrifying asthma attack, I encountered one of those miracles.

An angel appeared before me—twelve feet tall, with hair like golden dust and a chest like steel. He pointed at me and declared, “The Lord has sent me to tell you that you will be a singer to the nations.”

That moment filled me with unshakable hope. Yet purpose rarely comes without resistance. When I accepted God’s calling, I faced doubts and opposition, even from those closest to me. “Women cannot lead a ministry,” they said. My voice felt stifled again.

But God had been preparing me for this fight. My journey—from musical theater actress to hotel industry professional—taught me resilience and deepened my identity in Christ.

The King of Glory: I’m Running with His Story!

That icy February day, God’s voice was clear: I was being called to run—not physically, but spiritually.

This was a call to step boldly into the purpose He had prepared for me.

In Christ, I’ve found my true identity. He is my healer and my strength, continually urging me to sprint forward in faith. To anyone reading this, I say: Never stop sharing your testimony. Your voice matters.

Steward it well, and trust that God will use it for His glory.

Running toward Destiny

Every trial and triumph has been part of God’s intricate plan for my life.

From my struggles at birth to finding my voice, I now stand ready to run—just as He called me to.

Revelation 12:11 reminds us that we overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. Each of us carries a story that can change lives if we’re willing to share it.
